Call for Project Proposals
One of the Academy’s main objectives in launching the e-conference on the Global Employment Challenge was to explore fresh perspectives and identify viable proposals for future work by WAAS on the important issue of employment. Since the GEC was launched almost six months ago, 20 fellows and 17 non-fellows have enrolled and subscribed to the discussions, 29 papers/topics have been presented, four video webcasts by guest speakers have been conducted and hosted for download, and a total of 110 comments, 17 news articles and 16 background papers have been hosted in the forums.
GEC presentations and discussion cover a wide range of issues related to employment. Our task now is to determine whether we can identify a viable project proposal for the Academy on the issue of employment involving research, theory or policy-formulation and practical application.
We invite all participants to submit your ideas and suggestions for a future project by the Academy.
As far as possible, please include the following information in your response:
- Aims & objectives of the project
- Scope & Timeframe for the project
- Methodology
- Project team – possible participants
- Your role in the project
- Other organizations that may be interested to collaborate
- Project budget
- Possible sources of external funding
Thank you
GEC Project Team
