Hello Participants
I am pleased to note that several visitors/Non-Fellows visited GEC-3 but I also noted that none have enrolled.
Please remember to enroll using the form at http://www.worldacademy.org/node/add/gec3africa so that you get a user account and notification by email whenever there is a new message.
The e-forum is moderated and so there is no fear of being overwhelmed with messages.
If you have any questions on participation or any difficulties in using the WAAS e-forum platform, please use the "comment" form that is at the end of this message.

The form of communication in this e-forum is text based and participants are unable to see each other. So it is useful for participants (and you) can make their presence known with a message.
If you have not made a comment or post earlier into GEC-3, I invite you to provide a self-introduction.
Below this message, you will find a "REPLY" option. Click on "REPLY". In the "Subject" line write your name and organization/country, and tell us/write more about yourself and your work/interests in Youth Employment in Africa. Please remember to provide the name of your organization and (optional) your contact addresses.
If you employ youths or manage a program that get African youths employed, tell us more about it at http://www.worldacademy.org/forum/world-banks-report-“youth-and-employment-africa-potential-problem-promise”#comment-387

Help Desk: "Forum", "Topics" and "Posts" (replies)
Understanding the few terms used in DRUPAL (the e-platform for WAAS e-conference) is useful.
(i) "Forum" = this "Forum" is called "Youth and Employment in Africa". The pre-fix "GEC-3" indicates that it is the 3rd Session of the Global Employment Challenge.
GEC-1: Right to Employment
GEC-2: Is Full Employment Possible?
GEC-3: Youth and Employment in Africa
GEC-4: Technology and Employment
(ii) Each "Forum" may have more than one "Topic" for discussion. You can start a new topic by clicking on the option "Add New Topic". A new topic will have the icon of a box with 4 lines.
(iii) When you view a topic, you can "Post new comment" to a topic.
(iv) When you view a Post (or comment), you can "reply" to it.
In the example below, EMASINI started a new topic called "Employment of Women". This "topic" has now 2 posts/comments (from EMASINI and Randall Wray"). Randall's post/comment has 2 replies.
P.S.The first indent (arrow sign) is for "comments" while the second is for "replies".
